The Brief / Project:

Web design for interior refurbishment company, Crowborough

The Client / Case Study:

Steve Pearce / Diamond Interior Contracts

Here's what Steve had to say

Target Ink recently created a new website for Diamond Interior Contracts, a company based in Crowborough, East Sussex, which provides clients across London and the south east with high quality commercial interior refurbishments.

The firm offers expertise in office partitioning, suspended ceilings, painting and decorating, commercial flooring, office interiors and electrical installations. Established by Senior Partner Steve Pearce, who has 45 years of experience in the industry, its clients include educational establishments and large corporates.

“We work with some of the biggest names in the UK,” says Steve. “They know that Diamond Interior Contracts stands for absolute quality, exceptional customer service and competitive and fair pricing. You will find our team focused on great work and safety, whilst staying personable, pro-active and full of advice and suggestions to make any project run smoothly.”

When lockdown happened, Steve saw it as an opportunity to both rebrand the business and develop a new website.

“Our old website had got tired and making any changes seemed problematic and expensive… so I decided it was time to seek out a new website partner,” he explains. “I’d recently joined a BNI group locally, BNI A21 Connect, where I met Rob from Target Ink. In the summer – when we were allowed to meet up in person for a pub lunch – we got together and I explained to him the challenges of our old website and he told me what Target Ink could do for us.”

Before embarking on the website project, Steve also worked with other BNI A21 Connect members – Kelly Wilcox from BakerWilcox Design and photographer Mimi Van Praagh– to create branding for the business and some up-to-date photography.

“In the intervening time, Rob explained that he could take over hosting our existing site and that was really helpful,” says Steve.

Target Ink created a website for Diamond Interior Contracts which Steve says is much more ‘user friendly’ and ‘eye catching’.

“I recognised that we needed a website to be our shop window and somewhere we can share photographs of some of our office refits, as well as case studies and testimonials,” says Steve. “I knew that case studies were important for business development but Target Ink has explained how key they are as SEO tools and as engaging content.”

He continues: “Getting this project done during the Covid-19 pandemic means that, we are now ready for the anticipated upturn in business. I was really impressed by the interest Rob took in our business and how he has worked with us to deliver us a modern and relevant website.”

Steve adds that updating and adding content to the website is now so much easier with Target Ink’s dedicated maintenance portal.

“I would have to send emails to the previous firm and wait for them to be actioned,” he explains. “Now we just submit any new content, such as a case study, via the maintenance portal and it gets sorted out. The response is quick and there’s a thread, so you can see where it is in the process. If there are any issues with what we’ve sent, Target Ink come back to us – they are very pro-active, which I like. Everything gets done in real time.”

As the website is new – it launched in January 2021 - Steve is now looking forward to discovering some of the other benefits of working with Target Ink.

“I am looking forward to seeing the SEO reports to see where we are and discover what we can do to improve these figures, supported by Target Ink,” he explains. “We are also currently talking to Target Ink about their ad-words and pay-per-click services, which we hope will drive even more traffic to our site.”

He continues: “I would definitely recommend Target Ink to a firm looking for a new website. They are pro-active and easy to deal with."
